The Flight to DC

Today I woke up with an urge to play fetch, just like every other day. Except today wasn't just like any other day. After my morning walk, my mom gave me a delicious treat, and I didn't even have to do any tricks! I should have known something was up. The next thing I knew, I was soooooo slleeeeeeeppppyyy.

My mom and grandma and I got into Paul's car and went on a long drive. Then, we had to stand in long lines and my mom and grandma had to empty out all their bags and take off my collar. A security guard made me get into my little red bag. That was fine by me! I just wish my mom didn't make me get out. I wanted to take a nap.

We walked around for a long time and I could barely stay awake. Finally, when I thought I couldn't open my eyes for another minute, my mom finally let me curl up in my little red bag!

My mom put my bag by her feet and I fell asleep for hours! At one point, I woke up, thinking that I heard the sound of treats, but it was only my mom and grandma eating peanuts. Everyone else had peanuts too! No one would share with the poor puppy in the little red bag. So I went back to sleep.

I was just starting to feel like my old self again when the plane started shaking and I felt like I was falling. Soon, we got off the plane and my mom said we were going to find a dog park!

Some dog park! It was all just dust and rocks! I played with feetie ball for a little, and I got a lot of dust in my mouth. Mom gave me some water, but it smelled funny, so I didn't want any.

After the dog park, we got back into the long lines and I had to take off my collar and walk through the metal detectors again. Mom gave me another treat, and suddenly, I was sleepy again. I went back into my little red bag and again fell fast asleep for hours. After a little while, I woke up and sat on Mom's lap. She said we were in Chicago. I didn't care. I was still sleepy.

After a while, the pilot told us that our plane had a broken windshield and we would have to wait for an hour in Chicago. I didn't like Chicago very much.

When we finally left Chicago, I was starting to perk up again. I sat at my mom's feet in my little red bag waiting to be let out. I was so confused!

The plane shook and fell again, and my mom and grandma and I got into another car for a long drive. I had to do my business so bad! I didn't know where we were going.

A few minutes later, we arrived in a hotel Washington, DC. Mom said we're going to live here now. I'm okay with that. I have feetie ball. I think this is going to be fun.
