The First Day and My New House

I felt like I barely got to sleep last night in the hotel when my mom was waking me up again. We walked a few blocks where we met a nice man and lady who gave my mom the keys to our new apartment! I like my new apartment. I'll post some pictures another day. For now, here is a picture of me taking a nap in my new favorite chair:

We barely stayed at our new apartment. We walked back to the hotel and mom got a taxi cab to help move the rest of her stuff. Then we were off to explore the city!

We went to the Korean War Memorial, where we met a nice man named Lyn. He taught my mom and grandma how to take pictures. I had to be the model. After the Korean War Memorial, we went to the Lincoln Memorial.

They didn't like dogs to be inside the memorial, so my mom had to pick me up so I could see the statute of Lincoln and the words of the Gettysburg Address.

The Reflecting Pool was under construction, but we could see the Washington Monument in the distance. They said it will take two years to finish the construction, so when my family comes in Thanksgiving, they won't be able to see it either.

Next, we went to the Einstein Memorial, but it started to rain, HARD!

There was a squirrel that I wanted to chase really bad, but as soon as I got wet, I forgot all about it! I was just huddling close to anyone that had a big umbrella. I felt like a drowned rat! Our friend Lyn said that the photography class would have to be finished another day because it was just too wet. Mom and grandma and I took a cab home. I don't think the cab driver liked me very much. He was really cranky because of the rain and kept yelling at the other drivers.

When we got home, I was so happy to be inside! I rubbed myself all over my second favorite chair to get dry.

Then I played some fetch with feetie ball and took a nap in my favorite chair.

After my nap, mom and grandma and I walked all over to explore our new neighborhood. It looks like there are a lot of fun places for Mom and me to hang out! I heard Mom say that there's a dog park nearby. I hope we get to visit that soon. But not today. I'm so tired, I can barely stand it.
